vhs: Self-defence for women

In the vhs course Ro 03.02.30, women can learn to recognise dangerous situations at an early stage, make the right decisions and react with confidence. The course runs from 15 October over eight Thursdays, from 6.00 pm to 7.30 pm each week, at the Family Centre, Alter Weg 63F. It offers the opportunity to feel prepared and capable of taking action, rather than helpless. Unfortunately, for many women, physical threats and violence are not an abstract danger but a reality of life. As well as practical self-defence techniques, the course also focuses on helping participants better assess their own options and rights in such situations. Through practising together, participants gain greater confidence and self-assurance in dealing with potentially dangerous situations. The course is aimed at adults aged 18 and over. If you have any physical limitations or are taking blood-thinning medication, you must consult the instructor in advance. Please bring comfortable sportswear, a towel and drinks. Course fees can be found on the website or in the vhs programme booklet. Those interested can register online at www.vhs-rodgau.de or send a written registration to vhs Rodgau, Hintergasse 15, 63110 Rodgau. Further information is available from the staff at the adult education centre on 06106 693 1225 or 1231.
