The aim is to optimise the public transport space:

• Balanced division of the street space
• Consideration of the relevant utilisation requirements
• Focus also on non-motorised traffic
• New roundabout improves traffic flow

1.1 Planned construction time approx. 6 weeks

As there are no public parking spaces available in the immediate vicinity of Wilhelm-Leuschner-Straße, no alternative parking spaces can currently be recommended. Both the public car park at the Waldfriedhof in Jügesheim and the car park near the football pitch or the street ‘Auf dem Brühl’ are considered too far away and are therefore unsuitable.

Further alternative parking options, which were discussed at the information event, have now been clarified.

Temporary parking area

A car park is available for eligible residents on the site of the former ‘Rußbude’. Permits are being issued.

The following proposals were considered but could not be implemented:

• The use of the former Volksbank car park as an alternative parking area was examined and is not possible.
• The use of the area on the corner of Rochusstraße and Wilhelm-Leuschner-Straße, where a construction site is currently being built (Amadeus new residential complex), was examined and is not possible due to the construction site there.
• The utilisation of the vacant plot on the corner of Rochusstraße and August Neuhäusel Straße was examined and is unsuitable due to environmental regulations.

During the construction work, city bus route OF-40 will be diverted in construction phase 1 in the Hainhausen area, on Wilhelm-Leuschner Straße. From 13 July to 5 September, the city bus travelling towards Weiskirchen will be diverted via Jügesheimer Straße. No bus stops will be omitted.

The findings from the first construction phase are being continuously analysed and will be incorporated into the optimisation of the diversion plans for construction phase 2. The final diversion plans for construction phase 2 are currently being drawn up and will be announced at a later date. According to the current state of planning, no diversions are required during construction phase 3; the OF40 service will operate here according to its regular route. During construction phase 4, the area around Hainhausen station cannot be served due to the construction work.

Is the punctuality of the buses guaranteed?

Due to the construction-related changes to the route, there may be obstructions on the route and therefore also delays to bus services. We therefore ask you to take note of the diversion plans for the OF-40 bus route and the information on the respective construction phases.

As part of the construction work on Wilhelm-Leuschner-Straße, there will be no "cut-through" (direct connection of the southbound carriageway to the B45) between the roundabout on the southbound carriageway and Alfred-Delp-Straße.

The properties can be reached on foot at any time. The area in which the construction company is working cannot be accessed by car. Residents will be informed accordingly in advance.

Trees or car parks in front of driveways

Those responsible ensure that driveways are not rendered impassable by planned trees or car parks.

Shops, the daycare centre and the church can be reached during the entire construction period. This will not be as "convenient" as usual, but it will always be possible on foot. Cyclists must always dismount and cross the road on foot. Drivers please take note of the changing traffic routing depending on the construction status.

Crossing aid August-Neuhäusel-Straße to the kindergarten

A crossing aid (pedestrian crossing) in August-Neuhäusel-Straße, which leads to the kindergarten in Martin-Bihn-Straße, is being examined.

There is always a footpath available. The temporary pavement will be extended so that pedestrians with restricted mobility can also use the path without hindrance.

The speed limit of 30 km/h will remain in place on Wilhelm-Leuschner-Straße even after the measure.

August-Neuhäusel-Straße

The reduction of the speed limit from 70 km/h in August-Neuhäusel-Straße between Alfred-Delp-Straße and Wilhelm-Leuschner-Straße to 50 km/h or 30 km/h, which was mentioned at the information event, is not possible after examination due to a valid decree. An overgrown lorry prohibition sign in August-Neuhäusel-Straße, which was also mentioned at the information event, will be cut free in the near future.

Due to the construction work and the alternating construction phases, there may be temporary restrictions in the operation of on-demand traffic (hopper). Adjustments to the route will be necessary, especially during full closures. During all construction phases, efforts will be made to optimise access to the stops and ensure a reliable connection.

• As part of the construction project, the parking behaviour in Humboldtstraße will be checked at the start of implementation to see whether a one-way street regulation will improve the situation.

This is how rubbish collection works in the relevant section of Wilhelm-Leuschner-Straße: Please ensure that your bins are placed outside your front door by 3 pm on the day before collection day. The bins will be moved to the collection point by the construction company. Once the bins have been emptied, they will be returned to their original position. Please therefore mark your bin with your house number.

Bulky waste collection is also available. However, please arrange this in advance with the site foreman.

Parking for residents in the vicinity of the property cannot always be guaranteed. This also applies to suppliers and care services.

As things stand, no alternative parking spaces can be provided apart from the car park at the “Rußbude”, as there are no suitable public parking areas available in the immediate vicinity. The “Rußbude” alternative car park is available only to authorised residents. Authorisation permits will be issued.

• The car park at the forest cemetery in Jügesheim is too far away, as is the nearest public area on the street "Auf dem Brühl".
• The interim use of the meadow to the east of Wilhelm-Leuschner-Straße is unsuitable for reasons of nature conservation and flooding.

Nursing services can reach their patients on foot at any time.

Post can be delivered at any time. Parcel services may enter the construction site area with the agreement of the construction company (neighbours to construction site free).

In the Wilhelm-Leuschner-Straße area, private construction projects or deliveries (installation of solar panels, garage construction, delivery of large appliances, erection of scaffolding, etc.) are also possible during the conversion. The private construction measures must be discussed with the foreman of the construction company. The aim is to find a suitable time slot for both and to realise the smoothest possible implementation.

The right-before-left priority rule will remain in place in Wilhelm-Leuschner-Straße even after the measure.

The fire brigade (FW) and ambulance service (RD) will be able to reach residents at any time and in any emergency. In addition, the fire brigade and emergency services will always be informed about the construction work and changes to traffic routing.
