The Mayor's Department I is responsible for finances, urban planning, internal administrative areas including the staff of the City of Rodgau, the Fire Department, Economic Development, Urban Development and Rodgau Public Utilities.

Tasks and responsibilities

• External representation of the city
• Chairman of the municipal council, which jointly prepares and implements the resolutions of the municipal council meeting
• Preparation of the budget
• Determining the organisation and direction of the administration
• Head of the city administration and supervisor of all city employees
• Direct responsibility for the assigned organisational units
• Age and marriage anniversaries in accordance with the rules of honour
