The Mayor's Department I is responsible for finances, urban planning, internal administrative areas including the staff of the City of Rodgau, sports and culture, the fire brigade, business development, urban development and the Rodgau public utility company.

Tasks and responsibilities

• External representation of the city
• Chairman of the municipal council, which jointly prepares and implements the resolutions of the municipal council meeting
• Preparation of the budget
• Determining the organisation and direction of the administration
• Head of the city administration and supervisor of all city employees
• Direct responsibility for the assigned organisational units
