The opening of Dr Abdel Salam Hariri's ophthalmology practice is an important step towards strengthening local and sustainable healthcare in Rodgau, particularly with regard to ophthalmological care. This closes a longstanding gap in care. Mayor Max Breitenbach welcomed Dr Hariri and his team at the opening ceremony in the modern practice premises and emphasised the importance of this step for local medical care in the town. The town of Rodgau had already been in dialogue with the Hariri family in the run-up to the opening in order to support the practice together with its long-standing partner, the ASD Concepts Institute. Even before the opening, Dr Hariri introduced himself to local healthcare stakeholders at the Rodgau Health Forum. The health forum sees itself as a round table in which as many different representatives as possible from all areas of healthcare in Rodgau can participate and exchange ideas under the coordination of the city of Rodgau's economic development department. The aim is to further develop local medical care in a coordinated, cross-sectoral and citizen-centred manner. In addition to the professional exchange, specific projects are initiated and implemented in topic-specific working groups.
