Volunteer exchange launches call for volunteers: Clubs and volunteers wanted

What does the Volunteer Exchange do

The aim of the municipal volunteer exchange is to bring people who would like to get involved together with suitable volunteer positions and at the same time to support organisations in their search for motivated volunteers. Volunteering is a central component of a vibrant community. Many social organisations, cultural associations and sports groups rely on the support of volunteers. At the same time, many people are looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution, be it on a regular basis, project-related or flexible according to time and interest. "Our job is to bring both sides together," says the team at the Volunteer Exchange, and this is exactly where we come in.

Counselling

The focus is on free, personal counselling that is tailored to the individual needs and wishes of those interested. Volunteers can describe their interests, skills, expectations and previous experience in a confidential discussion. On this basis, the Volunteer Exchange suggests suitable volunteer positions and puts them in touch with the relevant contact persons at the organisations. Associations and organisations also benefit from the collaboration: they can register their volunteer positions, projects and support needs and thus gain access to committed people who exactly match their profile. The volunteer exchange helps them to publicise their offers and attract new volunteers - easily, personally and free of charge.
