Rodgauer JugendART 26

JugendART will take place for the 13th time on 25 and 26 April at the Jugendhaus, Freiherr-vom-Stein-Straße 8, as a joint event organised by the Youth and Culture, Sport and Volunteering departments. Young people will be exhibiting paintings, mangas, drawings, sculptures, collages and many other creative objects. The Geschwister Scholl, Georg Büchner and Claus von Stauffenberg schools will be presenting the results of their art lessons, which are rarely shown to the public. These include various styles of painting, sculptures and prints. The exhibition also offers a good opportunity for young individual exhibitors to present themselves or to get creative on site. On Saturday, two or three young bands from the Free Music School will perform on stage under the direction of Sebastian Schönhals. Sebastian Schönhals and the Freie Musikschule have been faithful to the event for years. New up-and-coming bands perform there time and again. On Sunday, a youth orchestra from the Nieder Roden Music Association will perform for the first time. Fatima, a pupil from the Georg Büchner School, will then sing. Free workshops will be held in the outdoor area. The artist Leonie Droege offers a comic/manga workshop. On Saturday and Sunday, birdhouses can be built and painted at NABU. Birgit Mayer-Tauber continues to motivate people to design lots of pennants for the Rodgau pennant chain. It is to be stretched from Rollwald to Weiskirchen. The blacksmith Achim Harbut encourages all those interested to forge their own lucky charm - great fun for visitors and a visitor magnet for years. Food and drink will also be available at reasonable prices. The sale is organised by young people from the open meeting places. The proceeds go to creative projects in the youth centre. JugendART is open on Saturday from 15:00 to 18:00 and on Sunday from 14:00 to 17:00. First City Councillor Janika Martin and Head of Cultural Affairs Winno Sahm will speak at the opening on Saturday at 3 pm. Anyone with questions can contact the organisers at kultur@rodgau.de.
