In the vhs course on Friday 3 May 2016, participants will be immersed in the fascinating and vibrant world of Korean street food. They will experience the distinctive aromas and unique flavours that characterise Korean culinary culture. Together, they will make delicious gimbaps, Korean rice rolls filled with fresh vegetables and sweet-and-spicy bulgogi beef, spicy tteokbokki – soft rice cakes in a spicy sauce – and sweet hotteoks – filled pancakes with cinnamon and nuts. In this hands-on course, all participants will have the chance to prepare each dish themselves whilst learning valuable cooking techniques. Whether you’re a beginner or a keen cook, this course has something for everyone. The cost of the ingredients is included in the course fee. The course takes place on Thursday 17 September at the Georg-Büchner-Schule, Nordring 32, from 5.30 pm to 9.45 pm. Please bring several tea towels, a cooking apron, a container for leftovers and your own drinks. Course fees can be found on the website or in the vhs programme booklet.
