The German government has passed an ordinance on noise protection during public open-air television broadcasts of this year's World Cup. The city of Rodgau points this out. The men's World Cup will take place from 11 June to 19 July in Canada, Mexico and the USA. With 104 matches, it offers more than any previous international football tournament. Due to the considerable time differences of 6 to 9 hours, these World Cup matches will take place during the day and at night. As in previous years, the federal government's ordinance is intended to make it possible to organise outdoor television broadcasts in the evening and at night. In addition to public outdoor "public viewing" events, where World Cup matches are broadcast live, the Federal Ordinance also applies to the authorisation of "public viewing" events in outdoor restaurants. These are not only beer gardens, but also restaurants with outdoor catering. Football broadcasts inside pubs and private events, e.g. on terraces, balconies or in gardens, are not covered by the ordinance. Authorisation is not required here. It is your own responsibility to ensure that the night-time peace is maintained. The City of Rodgau, Department of Public Safety and Order, decides in consultation with the Heusenstamm police station whether a permit can be issued. A corresponding application stating the organiser, the location of the performance and a list of the matches must be submitted for the examination of eligibility for approval. Live broadcasts of outdoor matches that are scheduled to begin at 6 a.m. or end before 10 p.m. do not require a special licence. These matches take place during daylight hours. Applications can be obtained via www.rodgau.de, online services or directly on request by e-mail to ordnungsamt@rodgau.de. For the selected games in the evening and at night, one permit is issued per application. As in the past, the administrative costs amount to 62 euros for the authorisation, regardless of how many matches are shown.
