In the local court district of Weiskirchen, the position of head judge is to be filled. As a rule, the term of office is 10 years. The position of head of the local court is held on an honorary basis. The duties of the local court consist of the authentication of signatures and copies, the issuing of death notifications, the securing of estates, co-operation in the determination and maintenance of property boundaries and the valuation of land. The main task of the head clerk is to hold weekly office hours. The personal requirements for appointment to the position of head are as follows: The person should enjoy general trust and be experienced in life, of good repute and familiar with the valuation of property. The person must be resident in the district of the local court, must not be engaged in the business of dealing with the legal affairs of others and must not be admitted as a lawyer or notary.
