Department of Social Services

The employees of the Social Services department advise and support those affected and their relatives in many areas:

Tasks and responsibilities

• Senior citizens (advice and information on assistance and support services, care and dementia, housing advice, social housing for senior citizens)
• Precautionary matters such as health care proxies
• Housing counselling (modifications and installations required in the home for health reasons)
• Housing assistance (counselling and support in maintaining housing, e.g. in the event of rent arrears, in obtaining/searching for and applying for housing)
• Procurement of social housing and housing entitlement certificates
• Refugee accommodation
• Other social matters
