Department of Culture, Sport and Volunteering

The staff in the Culture, Sport and Volunteering department deal with all matters relating to culture, art, music, sport, clubs, volunteering, local history, town twinning and events.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Cultural affairs, theatre and cabaret performances and other municipal cultural events (Easter market, forest cemetery concerts, special events), cultural promotion, cultural prize, ticket sales also for external events (CTS eventim)
• Art matters, art exhibitions (RodgauART, JugendART, Rodgau-Galerie), works of art and culture in public spaces
• Association matters, association subsidies and grants, association database, honours, association gala, volunteer matters, volunteer exchange
• Sports matters (except allocation of municipal sports facilities)
• Promotion of local history and customs, matters relating to museums, carnival and Hessentag
• Town twinning, twinning associations, Europe
