The Children and Families department is responsible for all matters relating to childcare in Rodgau. This includes the day care centres and the area of child day care. There are currently 31 day care centres in Rodgau. The diversity of providers is particularly important to the town. In addition to the current 17 municipal facilities, there are also facilities run by both major denominations, independent organisations and parent initiatives, such as the "Rasselbande" or the "Wühlmäuse" forest kindergarten. An equally important service is day care for very young children (U3).
