Getting creative together, learning new techniques and, at the end, holding your very own pair of socks in your hands – that’s exactly what the vhs course Ro.02.09.02 is all about. Participants will learn, step by step, how to knit their own socks. Starting on Monday 19 October, and on the following five Mondays, the course will take place from 6.15 pm to 7.45 pm at the Family Centre, Alter Weg 63F. From the correct technique right through to the finished sock, the individual steps will be worked through together. Participants will learn what matters when knitting and how different patterns and techniques can be put into practice. Both beginners and those with some experience can expand their knowledge and bring their own ideas to life. Those with previous experience can refine their skills and learn new knitting techniques. There’ll also be plenty of opportunity for sharing ideas and enjoying the creative process. Please bring light-coloured, plain-patterned sock yarn (6-ply/4-ply) and a set of 3.0/2.5 mm double-pointed needles suitable for the yarn (preferably 15 cm long). Course fees can be found on the website or in the vhs programme booklet. Those interested can register online at www.vhs-rodgau.de or send a written registration to vhs Rodgau, Hintergasse 15, 63110 Rodgau. Further information is available from the staff at the Adult Education Centre on 06106 693 1225 or 1231.
