If you’re looking for unusual Halloween decorations and enjoy getting creative, the ‘Boo Bells’ craft workshop on Tuesday 6 October at 6 pm at the Nieder-Roden Municipal Library is just the thing for you. During the evening, participants will create Halloween plants with little ghosts as flowers. The white ghosts, made from modelling clay, resemble little lilies of the valley – spooky yet cute. Using wire and crepe paper, the individual tendrils will be assembled into a unique plant. There’s another workshop on Thursday 22 October, also at 6 pm at the Nieder-Roden Municipal Library. Participants will then create little magical potion bottles filled with shimmering liquids and featuring mysterious labels. A magical idea for lovers of unusual decorations. The courses run by Svetlana Olenik, a qualified designer and illustrator from Darmstadt, are characterised by meticulous preparation, creative ease and a deep appreciation for the shared experience; they are aimed at adults and young people aged 13 and over. The cost of taking part in the ‘Boo Bells’ workshop is 15 euros; for the workshop on 22 October, it is 20 euros. All materials, drinks and snacks are included. As places are limited, please register in advance. You can register in person, by email at buecherei@rodgau.de or by telephone on 06106 693-1322.
