A new home for trail runners
The TSV Dudenhofen mountain bike trials section has found a new home. Since September 2026, the athletes have been training on a significantly larger site at Hegelstraße 2 in Dudenhofen. Mayor Max Breitenbach visited the site in person to see the new facility for himself. He was accompanied by the TSV’s chairman, Harry Enck, and board member Simone Laber. The site on Hegelstraße – part of the former Haufler site – was made available to the trial riders by the town of Rodgau in May this year. The intensive move and set-up began in the final week of the summer holidays. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the club members, as well as support from the companies Mietservice Rodgau and the JOFR Academy, the first challenging training sections were created in a very short space of time.
Notable features
The group now has access to a range of concrete, stone and tyre obstacles of varying levels of difficulty on the site. Mayor Max Breitenbach was impressed by the volunteers’ commitment: “It is remarkable what the club has managed to achieve here in such a short space of time. The town of Rodgau was happy to make this site available to provide a new home for the sport of bike trials in Dudenhofen, at least for the foreseeable future. The new facility is ideal for promoting youth work within the club.” During a tour with section head and coach Armin Röhnke, the mayor also learnt about the strict safety measures in place on the site. Among other things, heavy concrete elements have been permanently secured with mortar.
Developing skills
During the training session that followed, both the beginners’ and the advanced groups demonstrated their skills. With precise jumps over high obstacles, the athletes showed just how much technique, balance and concentration are required in this sport. The project on Hegelstraße is not yet complete: further obstacles, equipment containers and lighting for the winter months are in the planning stage. In the long term, TSV Dudenhofen would like to host competitions on the site. To support the next steps, Mayor Breitenbach brought some welcome news: Sparkasse Langen-Seligenstadt is subsidising the section with a donation of 500 euros. The donation was arranged by Frank Lortz, Vice-President of the Hessian State Parliament and Chairman of the Sparkasse Board of Directors. The town of Rodgau wishes the TSV Dudenhofen bike trial section continued success on the new course and every success with the upcoming extensions.
