Theatre fairy tales for children aged 5 and over
A theatrical fairy tale featuring claws, fur and feathers, with an animal concert and robber songs – family theatre for children aged 5 and over – will take place on Sunday, 8 November at 4 pm at the Bürgerhaus Nieder-Roden, Römerstraße 15. The theatre café will be open from 3 pm.
The story
Emil the donkey is on the run. He’s thrown off the flour sacks, which were far too heavy. With just his mandolin on his back, he’s trotted off. Just in the nick of time. The miller has already called the butcher! Harald Hahn, Kuno the dog and Karla the cat are also in for it. Emil the donkey has a plan: Bremen is looking for town musicians, after all! And anywhere is better than facing death. Amidst conflict-ridden, turbulent rehearsals, an unbeatable makeshift orchestra comes together. They manage to produce some absolutely brilliant music. Off to Bremen. The signpost points into the dark forest. But the house glowing there is no cosy inn: it’s the lair of the wild robbers. In a thrilling performance, full of sensitive humour and plenty of music, theatre mimikri traces the journey of the four animal runaways as they forge a life of their own.
