‘MiteinanderZeit’ lecture series: Experiencing and understanding dementia

The ‘MiteinanderZeit’ lecture series begins this autumn with an informative programme on dementia for older people. Iris Thuß, a dementia specialist, focuses on the emotional and experiential world of people with dementia and provides practical, tried-and-tested advice for everyday life when caring for those with dementia. She clearly demonstrates how care, support and daily life together can be successful, and offers family carers valuable insights and practical guidance to help them better understand the needs of people with dementia and interact with them with greater confidence and empathy. The talk is aimed at family carers, anyone with an interest in the subject, and anyone who supports people with dementia in their daily lives. The event will take place on Tuesday, 17 November, from 5.00 pm to 6.30 pm in the City Council Chamber at the Town Hall, Hintergasse 15. Attendance is free of charge and no registration is required. Questions regarding the event can be directed to Tina Taffet, Senior Citizens’ Advice, on 06106 693-1233.
