A new concept and original ideas
From 27 to 29 November, the pre-Christmas spirit will once again take hold around Jügesheim Town Hall. This year, the Rodgau Advent Market is presenting itself with a new concept, new exhibitors and plenty of original ideas. “At the same time, we are particularly delighted that many familiar faces and long-standing participants are remaining loyal to the Rodgau Advent Market and are breaking new ground with us,” said the town marketing team led by Antje Frey, Laura Klein and Jennifer Jäger. It is precisely this blend of the tried-and-tested and the new that defines this year’s Advent market.
Dates
The market will take place on Friday and Saturday from 4 pm to 10 pm and on Sunday from 12 noon to 6 pm, covering a larger area: it stretches from Rathausplatz along Kirchgasse and part of Vordergasse to the Haus der Begegnung (HdB). Affected residents will receive further information in the coming days.
Creative Market at the Haus der Begegnung
For the first time, the Haus der Begegnung is serving as a special venue. Here, visitors can look forward to a cosy craft market featuring numerous exhibitors. Handmade items, gift ideas and unique pieces invite you to browse and discover. Meanwhile, in the foyer, you can warm up with coffee and cake on all three days and take a short break from the pre-Christmas hustle and bustle. This year, there is a special focus on families. “We want to create a place where young and old alike feel at home,” say the three organisers. Alongside the market, there will therefore be special activities and the odd surprise for children.
Programme at Town Hall Square
The Advent market is rounded off by a varied programme. Various musical performances are planned on Town Hall Square, whilst there will be dance performances on stage at the Haus der Begegnung. “We are delighted that the Rodgau Advent market can take place this year with a new concept whilst still featuring many familiar faces. It was important to us to retain what has worked well in the past whilst also incorporating new ideas and participants,” said Mayor Max Breitenbach. Above all, the new Rodgau Advent market aims to be one thing: a place to come together. A place to meet up with friends and family, to discover, enjoy, listen, sing along and, of course, to get into the Christmas spirit.
