The inaugural meeting of the Joint Parents’ Advisory Board for Rodgau’s nursery schools took place this year in the town council chamber at the town hall. Janina Kratz was elected chair for the 2026/27 nursery year, marking her third consecutive term in the role. She is supported by Laura Roloff as deputy chair and Sara Petzinger as secretary. As every year, Deputy Mayor Janika Martin provided an overview of the situation regarding childcare centres in Rodgau and the Children and Family Department. Florian Büttner (Head of Nursery 15), representing the nursery managers, and Janika Martin were then available to answer questions. In addition, the Child Protection Association (DKSB) presented its work. For many years, the DKSB has been a great support in the day-to-day running of nurseries, advising families and childcare professionals. There are also preventative initiatives, such as themed parents’ evenings. Ms Witte-Weisenbach and Ms Stallmann-Beseler were in attendance. As well as seeking supporting members, the association is particularly looking for active members to join the executive committee.
