The event
“Once upon a time, there was a little girl who always had nothing but bad luck. And since she didn’t die, she’s still having it today.” The Kakerlake of Kalauer is celebrating its twentieth anniversary on stage on Thursday 12 November at 8 pm at the Bürgerhaus Nieder-Roden, Römerstraße 15.
The story
Trapped in the clutches of the wicked witch ‘Audience’, she drags herself onto the stage every evening and wrings the laughs out of Mrs Hölle’s damp bed linen. But there’s no table that sets itself. No prince to kiss her. Even the Big Bad Wolf gives Haarnetzchen a wide berth. So, after every show, she sits on the edge of the well of failure and spins – but sadly not gold, rather new gags for her anniversary show – The Frog Queen. Good, tried-and-tested laughs from yesterday. Lively numbers from today and daydreams of tomorrow. But after twenty years, will La Signora finally let her hair down? A fairytale anniversary with a happy ending for everyone. Twenty years of La Signora. Twenty years of laughter.
