Willibald Sahm has passed away at the age of 91. His 50 years of voluntary work in the town of Rodgau and beyond were exemplary and always focussed on people. Above all, Willibald Sahm rendered outstanding services as a co-founder of the "Guttempler in Deutschland I.O.G.T. e.V. Landesverband Hessen". The town of Rodgau honoured the deceased with the Silver Citizens' Medal in 2023. In 1996, Willibald Sahm received the Letter of Honour from the City of Rodgau, in 2004 the Letter of Honour from the State of Hesse and in January 2024 the Hessian Order of Merit on Ribbon. These public awards all recognised the enormous motivation, effective persuasion and caring dedication of a man who never put himself in the foreground. The town of Rodgau honours Willibald Sahm's memory and expresses its sympathy to his family and friends in their hours of mourning and farewell.
