How does papier-mâché actually work? And above all so filigree? And how do you come up with this unusual choice of colours for landscapes, skies or trees? These are questions that visitors to the current exhibition in the Rodgau Gallery are asking themselves. Beate Perschbacher from Babenhausen and Frauke Lorenz from Zellhausen are currently showing their art in the Rodgau Gallery, Nieuwpoorter Straße 90 in Dudenhofen. Paintings by Perschbacher and papier-mâché figures by Lorenz can be viewed until 27 May under the motto "In the middle of the moment". Winno Sahm, the former head of the cultural department, will give a knowledgeable tour of the exhibition on Sunday 24 May at 2 pm and talk about the objects in his inimitable way. He will also talk to the artists and visitors will find out how such delicate papier-mâché figures are created or why they are only female figures. The very unconventional colour concept of Perschbacher's paintings will also be discussed. Pink-coloured skies, blue tree landscapes or green-yellow impressions are irritating and impressive. Admission to the event is free. The gallery is open on Wednesdays from 6 pm to 9 pm and Sundays from 2 pm to 6 pm.
