After a short construction period, despite some adverse weather conditions, the new recycling centre at Philipp-Reis-Straße 19 will open its doors for the first time on Thursday, 2 April from 13:00 to 16:00. Before that, however, interested parties will have the opportunity to explore new routes, new services and tried-and-tested products in peace and quiet outside of regular operations. Stadtwerke invites you to do so on Friday, 27 March, from 13:00 to 16:00. There will be guided tours of the company premises, a stand for the rodgaucard and Münzner Deutschland GmbH for cooking oil disposal. In addition, the "big" helpers from Knettenbrech & Gurdulic GmbH and Stadtwerke can be marvelled at in a small vehicle exhibition. The new access area, the plateau and the electrical reception area can of course also be visited without a guided tour. People who want to come by car can use the public car parks in the Jügesheim industrial estate, and in good weather it is of course possible to cycle to the site. "With the expansion of the recycling centre, we are looking to the future. Uncomplicated and, above all, professional disposal is the first step towards turning waste into a valuable resource," says Stadtwerke Operations Manager Markus Ebel-Waldmann. In addition to the recyclable fractions accepted to date, such as waste paper, building rubble, electronic waste, furniture wood, packaging material and scrap metal, used clothing and used cooking oil will be added initially. In the summer, following a necessary amendment to the statutes, further waste fractions will follow, including those subject to a charge. Information on this will be provided both in press releases and on the website www.stadtwerke-rodgau.de. This is also where you will find the waste guide, waste calendar and opening times. These will look like this over the next few days: The "old" recycling centre will cease operations completely from Friday 27 March up to and including Wednesday 1 April. It will be open regularly on Thursday, 2 April, followed by the usual Easter closure. From Tuesday, 7 April, the recycling centre will resume normal operations: Monday closed, Tuesday 13:00 to 16:00, Wednesday 13:00 to 17:30, Thursday 13:00 to 16:00, Friday 9:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 16:00, Saturday 9:00 to 12:00.
