The town of Rodgau is applying to take part in KOMPASS

Following the city council’s decision and the city administration’s referral of the matter to the Department of Public Safety and Order, First Councillor Janika Martin has now submitted the official application to the Police Headquarters to participate in the programme. This followed a very informative initial meeting with the police to discuss the programme’s requirements and opportunities. KOMPASS is a scheme offered to towns and local authorities with the aim of further developing both the objective and subjective security framework in each local community on a case-by-case basis. It involves developing tailor-made solutions to local problems through collaboration between various stakeholders from the police, the public and the local authority. The focus here is on prevention. Once the application has been accepted, the Ministry of the Interior will mark the start of the programme at a kick-off event. The programme has no fixed duration and can be implemented through various measures tailored to local needs, which are to be defined jointly.
