Extensive cleaning and maintenance work has been carried out at the station in the Nieder-Roden district over the past few days. Rodgau Municipal Utilities has actively participated in Deutsche Bahn’s (DB) nationwide spring cleaning campaign. Whilst DB staff worked intensively to remove dirt, graffiti and chewing gum from platforms, stairs, tunnels and glass surfaces, the town of Rodgau used the synergy to carry out a comprehensive beautification of the area around the station. The municipal teams joined forces and carried out the following targeted measures during the campaign week: Trimming hedges, maintaining flower beds and mowing verges in the green spaces, thoroughly cleaning the paved areas in the station area where necessary, and thoroughly cleaning both the analogue and digital bike lockers and bicycle parking facilities. A clean station is a city’s calling card. Well-maintained stations noticeably enhance passengers’ well-being and sense of personal safety.
