Information session on the analysis of the risk of heavy rainfall in Rodgau

Are there any risks of heavy rainfall in Rodgau? The town of Rodgau, in collaboration with the engineering firm BGS Wasser, has examined this question in detail. The aim of the heavy rainfall risk analysis was to enable the town and its residents to take preparatory measures to protect against potentially more frequent and more intense heavy rainfall events in the future. Heavy rainfall is a rainfall event confined to a very small area, characterised by very high rainfall totals over a very short period of time, which cannot be absorbed by the drainage and sewerage network. This results in flooding. Due to climate change, an increased risk is anticipated in terms of both the frequency and intensity of heavy rainfall. The results of the analysis will be presented at an information session for the residents of Rodgau on 10 August at 7.00 pm at the Dudenhofen Community Centre. There, residents will be able to discuss with experts how their property or plot of land might be affected and receive important advice on taking their own precautions. The town council invites you to attend the event. Admission is free and no registration is required. Further information is also available on the town’s website at rodgau.de/AnalyseStarkregen .
