The vhs course Ro 02.13.08, which starts on 1 September, is designed to help beginners take their first steps in learning to play the guitar. This beginners’ course offers an introduction to playing melodies and chords. The course starts from scratch; no prior knowledge of music notation is required. For the course, participants will need an acoustic guitar, a music stand, a footstool and, if available, a tuner. Subject to prior arrangement, an instrument may be loaned for the duration of the course. The cost of 30 euros for the songbook is to be paid directly to the tutor during the course. The course takes place at the Georg-Büchner-Schule, Nordring 32, from 7.45 pm to 8.45 pm and runs for 16 Tuesdays. Course fees can be found on the website or in the vhs programme booklet.
