New recycling centre: restrictions during the next construction phase

New construction phase

The next construction phase of the new recycling centre is imminent. It starts on 5 January and will take place on part of the current recycling centre area. The otherwise usable area of the recycling centre will be temporarily restricted.

Temporarily reduced disposal offer

Unfortunately, this also means that the disposal service has to be reduced, as some disposal containers cannot be provided. Specifically, this means that large household appliances such as washing machines, dryers, cookers, refrigerators such as fridges, freezers, fridge-freezers, televisions and monitors, metal parts of all kinds and dismantled furniture interiors cannot be accepted from 6 January. These above-mentioned waste fractions can be collected as part of a bulky waste collection service, subject to registration at www.stadtwerke-rodgau.de. All other waste fractions such as waste paper, building rubble, yellow bags, nappies, small electrical appliances or large plastic household items can still be handed in at the recycling centre. The construction work is scheduled to last until the beginning of March. Stadtwerke Rodgau asks for your understanding if there are any longer waiting times for access to the recycling centre during the construction work due to the reduced area of the recycling centre.

First opening in 2026

The good news at the end: the recycling centre will be open for the first time in the new year on Friday, 2 January. All waste fractions can still be handed in here and on Saturday, 3 January.
