Emergency points

Emergency centres are points of contact for the public in crisis situations; they are set up in the event of widespread failures of critical infrastructure, such as a prolonged power cut.

A state of emergency is declared by the town of Rodgau and published, amongst other places, on these emergency pages.

Role of emergency points

• Making an emergency call
  If landline and mobile networks fail (e.g. due to a power cut), members of the public can make emergency calls at these stations. The locations usually have direct satellite or microwave links to the central emergency control centres
  
• Situation updates:
  The public can find reliable information there on the current crisis situation, as well as guidance on how to behave
  
• First aid
  First aid can be provided in the event of medical emergencies or technical problems on site
• Emergency power supply
  The helpdesks are powered by emergency power
