Overview of elections & referendums

European election

Every five years, the citizens of the European Union elect the members of the European Parliament.

Federal election

As a rule, German citizens elect the members of the German Bundestag every four years.

Every five years, the citizens of Hesse elect the members of the Hessian state parliament.

District administrator election

The district administrator is elected every six years. The District Administrator of the Offenbach district is Oliver Quilling.

Local elections

Municipal elections are held in Rodgau every five years to elect the city council.

Mayoral election

The mayor is elected every six years. The mayor of the town of Rodgau is Max Breitenbach.

Foreigners' council election

The Foreigners' Advisory Council is elected every five years, just like the municipal council.

Children's & youth parliament election

Elections are usually held every two years. The members are elected by children and young people from Rodgau.

Referendums & citizens' decisions

Citizens can decide on issues within their own sphere of influence by means of a referendum. At state or federal level, the referendum corresponds to the citizens' decision.
