Rodgau Circular Walk

The Rodgau Circular Route is an attractive circular route for anyone wishing to explore the town and its surroundings by bike or on foot. It takes you on a wide loop around Rodgau, offering frequent views of the individual districts of Weiskirchen, Hainhausen, Jügesheim, Dudenhofen and Nieder-Roden with Rollwald.

Paths & Signage

The Rodgau Circular Walk route runs mainly through fields and woods, and only rarely through the town’s neighbourhoods themselves.

  • The circular route is 41.2 kilometres long
  • You can drive along sections of the route or take any shortcuts you like
  • Some sections can be combined with the S-Bahn (bicycles can be carried free of charge)
  • The circular walk was opened in 2005
  • The route is signposted in both directions and is open to traffic
  • Rodgau Circular Walk: Signs show the way
  • The signage was updated in 2020 (please let us know if any signs are missing)

Alternatively, the route is available on the GeoAS geoportal or as a .gpx file* for download.

* GPX files contain GPS data that can be opened and viewed using applications such as Komoot, Outdooractive and GPX Viewer (either browser-based or as apps).

Tips for the tour

Starting points:

  • Select one of the districts to get started

Combinations:

  • If you don’t want to cycle the full 41.2 km in one go, you can cycle shorter sections
  • If necessary, the S-Bahn can be used for the outward or return journey

Places to stop for refreshments:

  • There is only one place to stop for a bite to eat along the route: the Mutter Gabi restaurant and beer garden
  • Otherwise, after a short detour through the surrounding neighbourhoods, there are plenty of restaurants, cafés and bakeries where you can stop for a break
