  • Service description

    Rats generally occur where they find sufficient food, shelter and nesting opportunities. They transmit dangerous diseases. Faeces and urine lead to unpleasant odours and health hazards.

    If you want to report rats, please note the following:

    • Property owners must hire a pest controller/ exterminator themselves.
    • Tenants must first ask the landlord to rectify the problem. (If the landlord refuses to do so, the tenant can contact the responsible public order office. A copy of the tenant's written request must be available).
    • If it can be proven that the polluter is a third party, please contact the public order office in writing.
    • If rats are found in public places, please contact the responsible public order office.

  • What fees are incurred?

    The costs for the pest controller/chamber exterminator shall be borne by the property owner.
