The wastewater from all Rodgau districts is treated in the wastewater treatment plant in Weiskirchen, which is operated by the municipal drainage system. The wastewater treatment plant, which has been gradually expanded and modernised since the end of the 1980s, is state of the art.
The wastewater treatment plant can absorb around 400 litres of incoming wastewater and rainwater per second. The wastewater passes through three purification stages in the plant before it - freed of pollutants - is returned to the Rodau and thus to the natural water cycle.
