Experience art "In the middle of the moment" in the Rodgau Gallery

Beate Perschbacher from Babenhausen and Frauke Lorenz from Zellhausen are enriching the Rodgau Gallery: from 1 April to 27 May, paintings by Perschbacher and papier-mâché figures by Lorenz can be admired under the title "Mitten im Moment". The two artists did not know each other personally, but had already been keeping an eye on each other's artistic work independently of each other. The organiser of the Rodgau Gallery, Gabriele Ziegler, was therefore very open to the idea of bringing them together. The artists deal with everyday moments in very different ways. One with brushstrokes, the other with paper, wire and the lamination technique. The theme of everyday life has a recognisable, highly sympathetic and familiar effect on the viewer. This facilitates access to art. Everyone is addressed. Perschbacher has been living out her creative streak for 15 years and what was once a hobby quickly developed into a deep passion. Her works focus on people in everyday situations. She often takes her inspiration from photographs, which offer her exciting challenges in terms of composition, colour and vibrancy. Her personal style is rough brushstrokes and intense colours. The pictures touch the viewer. Frauke Lorenz also appeals to people emotionally with her figures. Since 2020, the visual artist has been creating expressive papier-mâché sculptures that depict women in both special and everyday moments. She captures moments that tell little stories through posture, facial expressions and movement. Each detailed and lovingly crafted figure is unique - lively, full of character and narrative power. Both artists have already taken part in many exhibitions and their art invites viewers to recognise themselves and rediscover the lightness of everyday life. The vernissage will take place on 1 April at 6 pm with an introduction by Winno Sahm. On Sunday, 12 April, from 3 pm, there will be "Poetry for free" with artist and lyricist "Frau Blank", who will write spontaneous poems for visitors on site. More information to follow. The Rodgau Gallery at Nieuwpoorter Straße 90 in Rodgau Dudenhofen is open on Wednesdays from 18:00 to 21:00 and Sundays from 14:00 to 18:00. Admission is free.
