Carnival parade in Rodgau

The carnival procession will be winding its way through the streets of Giesem again this year on Shrove Tuesday, 17 February. Stopping is prohibited on both sides along the entire route of the procession - signs will indicate this. The streets will be closed to motorised traffic from 2 pm to 6 pm. The procession lines up in Weiskircher Straße and winds its way through the centre of Giesem to the train station. Here the carnival procession disperses. Police officers from the town of Rodgau accompany the procession and provide additional security. Their instructions must therefore be followed at all times. The road closures and diversions associated with the carnival procession will lead to all-day timetable changes for the OF-40 and OF-99 bus routes. The OF-40 city bus route will not serve the following stops: Egerstraße, Weiskircher Straße, Untere Sände, Am Wasserturm, Wasserfallstraße, Konrad-Adenauer-Straße, Rodgau-Passage, Hochstädter Straße, Jügesheim-Bahnhof and Babenhäuser Straße. There will no longer be any booster trips to the schools on the OF-40 line and the holiday timetable will apply on this day. The route of the OF-40 line runs in both directions via Rodgau-Ring-Straße. The OF-99 line will run in both directions via Rodgau-Ringstraße, Mainzer Straße and Hegelstraße. The stops Babenhäuser Straße, Allensteiner Straße and Jügesheim Bahnhof will be cancelled. The replacement stop Dudenhofen Bahnhof will be set up on both sides of Mainzer Straße. The Haingraben stop will also be served. There may also be delays in the operation of the kvgOF Hopper.
