A special visit awaited the municipal daycare centre 5 "Am Bürgerhaus" in Nieder Roden: Petra Kipper from the Wildtierarche was a guest and brought some unusual animals with her. These included a snake, a tarantula and hissing beetles. The children followed the expert's vivid explanations with great interest. The aim of her visit was to reduce fears and create a better understanding of reptiles and other often feared animals. It quickly became clear that these animals are by no means "dangerous", but deserve respect when handled with care. Petra Kipper explained to the children that every animal has its own way of defending itself. For this reason, it is important not to simply touch animals, as this can cause them stress and make them feel threatened. The visit left a lasting impression on the children and helped to break down prejudices and awaken their curiosity about the animal world.
