The municipal youth work centre in Rodgau has opened a new meeting place for children and young people in Nieder-Roden. On the premises of the Protestant parish hall at Puiseauxplatz 4, the new youth centre now offers a permanent meeting place for leisure activities, encounters and exchanges. The centre is aimed at all children and young people aged 9 and over and takes place every Wednesday from 3 to 7 pm. From October to March, the programme is extended and the premises are also open on Thursdays. During this time, the popular youth mobile, which is parked at Puiseauxplatz on Thursdays during the warmer months, takes a break. The premises are equipped with numerous leisure activities. A pool table and a table tennis table invite you to play sporting matches, while a Nintendo Switch and a sound system provide entertainment. There is also an exercise room, a creative area for painting and handicrafts and a large selection of board games. Parallel to the open meeting, cooking is organised every Wednesday in the integrated kitchen. This part of the programme offers young people the opportunity to get active together and exchange ideas in an informal atmosphere. Anyone who has a personal concern can use the office for confidential discussions and low-threshold counselling services. The youth centre is supervised by educational specialist Yasemin Kök and student assistant Marc Väth, who are on hand to help and advise the young people.
