New exhibition in Rodgau Gallery in September

The Rodgau-Galerie in Dudenhofen (Niewpoorter Straße 90) presents the new exhibition "Wirbelsturm im Wohnzimmer" from 17 September. It shows an exciting dialogue between the paintings of Anja Flügel and the wooden sculptures of Hagga Bühler. Anja Flügel from Lohr am Main is exhibiting her series "Abysses and Glimpses of Light", in which she questions old beliefs with gloomy yet bright colours. The artist illuminates the zeitgeist from her personal perspective. Hagga Bühler, an artist from Frankfurt and Hafenlohr, will be presenting his "Queens of the illusory era" - brightly coloured, provocative and ironic wooden sculptures that combine traditional sculpture with urban pop art and punk. His motto is: "Trivially pretend and wittily strike." The exhibition begins with a vernissage on 17 September at 6 p.m., at which Head of Cultural Affairs Winno Sahm will introduce the works. Interested parties will have the opportunity to talk to the artist on 28 September at 2 pm. Another guided tour with Winno Sahm will take place on 8 October at 6 pm. Finally, the finissage will take place on 12 November with musical accompaniment by Filip Tomic on the accordion. Admission to all events is free. The gallery is open on Wednesdays from 18:00 to 21:00 and on Sundays from 14:00 to 18:00.
