The town of Rodgau congratulates Birgit Mattes on her 25th anniversary as a childcare worker. Birgit Mattes, who currently works at the municipal daycare centre 5 in Römerstraße, is being honoured for her many years of commitment to childcare. Birgit Mattes began her professional career with a recognised internship at the Hainstadt childcare centre, where she subsequently also worked as a nursery teacher. In September 2003, she moved to Kita 5 in Rodgau, where she still works today. Over the past 25 years, Birgit Mattes has helped shape the development of countless children and has been a committed and reliable carer for the families. This commitment was particularly emphasised by the well-wishers. First City Councillor Janika Martin honoured Birgit Mattes not only for her professional work, but also for her voluntary commitment. She emphasised her active involvement in "Gude Steine" and the courtyard flea markets. Kerstin Heck, Head of Kit 5, praised Birgit Mattes' colossal sense of humour, her tenacity, honesty and directness. She recalled how Mrs Mattes volunteered when the crèche was installed at Kita 5. Heck wished that they would continue to share a lot of joy together. Colleague Dana Lallinger shared a touching personal retrospective and recalled their shared history since 2011. First they were colleagues, then friends and finally Dana Lallinger became godmother to Birgit Mattes' son. Lallinger also mentioned the close connection to the crèche opened in 2016, which Mattes gave the name "Minimonster" and which she was involved in planning throughout. Lallinger also emphasised her personal closeness, as Birgit Mattes accompanied her at her wedding and Lallinger became godmother to Birgit Mattes' son. Birgit Mattes described herself as a spontaneous person and thanked all those present who have always stood by her side, both professionally and privately.
