rodgaucard as admission authorisation
The year 2026 is fast approaching - and brings with it some changes to waste disposal. The waste guide will no longer be distributed to all households and, from January 2026, the rodgaucard will replace the previous authorisation certificate (admission authorisation) for access to the recycling centre and composting facility. The rodgaucard is thus expanding its functions with another practical add-on - and once again lives up to its claim of being a multifunctional citizen card. From December 2025, all citizens who already have a rodgaucard will be able to conveniently enter their personal residual waste bin number online. This will automatically activate the new authorisation. Anyone who does not yet have a rodgaucard can also collect it free of charge and easily from December as a replacement for the authorisation certificate from all local points partners, the town hall's citizen service, the municipal utilities customer service, the recycling centre and the composting plant, then register and deposit the bin number. All information on the changeover of admission authorisation will be published in good time via the press and the respective homepages.
What else is changing
With the introduction of the new system, the distribution of information will also change: the waste guide will continue to be available online via the website www.stadtwerke-rodgau.de. The waste calendar will also continue to be available digitally in the Rodau app. For those who cannot do without the paper version of the waste guide, printed copies will continue to be available next year at the customer and citizen service centres as well as at the known contact points in the city area. With the new recycling centre and the additional function of the rodgaucard, the city of Rodgau is pleased to be implementing another piece of digitalisation and service orientation - for the benefit of all citizens.
