Wishing tree campaign: Fulfilling children's wishes together

The city of Rodgau's popular Wishing Tree campaign is taking place for the 8th time from 3 to 30 November. Children between the ages of 3 and 12 can enter their wishes worth up to 25 euros on a participation card and post them in the red letterboxes at the Rodgau wishing trees. The wishing trees are located on Rathausplatz in Jügesheim and on Puiseauxplatz in Nieder-Roden. The campaign is organised and coordinated by the municipal business development department in cooperation with the Rodgau Trade Association and the German Child Protection Association Rodgau. The participation cards are available in all day care centres, primary schools and at "Tante Emma e.V.". The children's contact details will of course be treated as strictly confidential. But not only children can be part of the campaign: Everyone is cordially invited to fulfil a child's wish. The wishes will be posted on www.rodgaucard.de/wunschbaum from the start of the Rodgau Advent market on Wednesday, 26 November until Sunday, 7 December. This year, the date was deliberately chosen so early so that gift-givers can take advantage of discount campaigns during Black Friday. The wrapped gifts can be handed in at the latest by Wednesday, 10 December, at the Citizens' Service in the town hall, Hintergasse 15, or at the customer service of Stadtwerke Rodgau, Philipp-Reis-Straße 7. The gifts will be handed over on Wednesday, 17 December, at the Haus der Begegnung, Vordergasse. Mayor Max Breitenbach and First City Councillor Janika Martin will present the gifts during a small Christmas party with choir singing by children from the Wilhelm-Busch-Schule and sweet treats. Wishes that significantly exceed the maximum value of 25 euros will be honoured with a small gift so that no child goes away empty-handed. Information on the campaign can be found at www.rodgaucard.de/wunschbaum and on the official social media channels of the town of Rodgau.
