What could the new district centre at Puiseauxplatz in Nieder-Roden look like one day? Answers to this question can be found in the exhibition of the results of the realisation competition, to which the city cordially invites all citizens. All competition entries can be seen in the foyer of the town hall, Hintergasse 15, from 11 to 19 November. The exhibition is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00 to 16:00 and Wednesday from 8:00 to 18:00, so that as many interested parties as possible have the opportunity to see the diverse ideas and concepts for a future district centre. The exhibition will be officially opened by Mayor Max Breitenbach on Tuesday, 11 November at 9.30 am. Afterwards, Marcus Hille, architect and urban planner from Mainz/Ingelheim, as chairman of the jury, will guide visitors through the competition entries and provide insights into the decision-making process. In early summer, the city of Rodgau announced the competition for the construction of a new district centre and there was great interest in the task. Numerous architectural firms from all over Germany applied to take part. The aim of the competition was to develop a building that would fulfil the numerous tasks of the district centre, combine sustainable architecture with a high quality of stay and focus on people's needs. A total of 13 offices submitted entries. An interdisciplinary jury discussed and evaluated the designs in depth.
