Once a month on Friday afternoons, children paint, glue and fold. The next event is scheduled for Friday, 28 November, at the Nieder-Roden public library. Children from the age of 6 meet during creative time to create Christmas crafts that will get them in the mood for the coming Advent season. There are still places available for the 3.30pm and 4.45pm sessions. Participation is free of charge. Registrations are accepted in person at the public libraries, by telephone on 06106 693 1322 or by e-mail to buecherei@rodgau.de. Crafting and colouring support children's development on very different levels. On the one hand, fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are trained, and on the other hand, children can fulfil their imagination and creativity through such activities, which has a positive effect on cognitive abilities and problem-solving skills. Crafting and colouring can also help children to express their emotions and relieve stress. But above all, working in a group is a lot of fun!
