Creative workshops during Advent

Craft enthusiasts can get in the mood for Christmas and make seasonal decorations for their homes at two workshops in the Nieder-Roden public library. Small wooden gingerbread houses will be made on Tuesday, 2 December at 6 pm. The prefabricated blanks will be painted and decorated according to personal taste. At the end of the evening, participants can take two houses home with them. The public library is offering another creative break on Tuesday, 9 December at 6 pm. Under the motto "Fuzzy Trees", small fluffy Christmas trees will be made from pipe cleaners. The courses run by Svetlana Olenik, a qualified designer and illustrator from Darmstadt, are characterised by loving preparation, creative ease and a great deal of appreciation for the shared experience and are aimed at adults and children aged 13 and over. In a cosy atmosphere, the workshop lasts around 2 hours with lots of fun - a nice break from everyday life and perfect for the pre-Christmas period. For the "Gingerbread Houses" workshop, 15 euros will be paid directly to the course leader, and 10 euros for the "Fuzzy Trees" workshop. The cost of participation includes all materials, hot and cold drinks and Christmas snacks. Registration is requested as places are limited. Registration can be made in person, by email at buecherei@rodgau.de or by telephone on 06106 693-1322.
