Successful completion of CITY CYCLING: More than 150,000 kilometres cycled

Kilometres, journeys and CO2 in tonnes

Rodgau once again successfully took part in the nationwide CITY CYCLING campaign this year and once again set a strong example for climate protection and cycling. The impressive results of the three-week campaign period were presented at the closing event. A total of 150,385 kilometres were covered by the committed Rodgau cyclists. This mileage was spread over 13,555 individual journeys and resulted in the avoidance of a considerable 25 tonnes of CO2 compared to journeys by car. "It's a great achievement that our town was once again so active in CITY CYCLING in 2025.

Figures at the closing event

Over 150,000 kilometres cycled speak for themselves and show the commitment of the people of Rodgau to sustainable mobility," said Mayor Max Breitenbach at the closing event. The head of the town hall was particularly pleased that the Carl Orff School was honoured as the most active school in the whole of Hesse. This year's participation was impressive: a total of 941 people actively took part in CITY CYCLING and organised themselves into 35 teams. The average team size was 29 people, with the Carl Orff School having the largest team with an impressive 339 cyclists and also cycling the most kilometres. The STADTRADELN challenge cup was rightly awarded. All figures, data and facts can still be found on the official campaign website at https://www.stadtradeln.de/rodgau.
