Children's theatre: The emperor's new clothes

The question of whether Emperor Klemens has gone mad will be answered for children aged 5 and over when they visit the family theatre on Saturday, 12 April at 4 pm. Emperor Klemens struts around the castle square in his pants. The clothes-addicted Klemens believes that he can only impress his people with splendid clothes. The mistress of ceremonies and the finance minister are at a loss. The country is broke and Emperor Clement can no longer sleep. His ostentatious and splendid clothes haunt him in his dreams at night. Dressmaker Elsa and weaver Walter are desperately waiting for their money. But necessity is the mother of invention. And two experts in magically fashionable majestic robes turn up at the palace. They promise particularly splendid robes that remain invisible to people who are stupid or unsuitable for their office. The emperor is delighted. The theatre mimikri from Büdingen stages this colourful costume art, fairytale-like suspense and rousing music in the Bürgerhaus in Nieder Roden, Römerstraße 15. The audience sees the magnificent dresses come to life in the majesty's dream and experiences how, in the end, the clothes-addicted, insecure emperor is redeemed by a cunning trick and a small child. Tickets costing 10 euros are available at Schwesternstraße 10, entrance around the corner in Ludwigstraße, or at the box office from 3 pm.
