The "Clean Rodgau" spring cleaning campaign organised by the Rodgau municipal utility company was once again a complete success this year. From 7 April to 2 May, a total of 11 groups with around 333 participants took part to rid the environment of carelessly discarded waste. Compared to last year, the number of participants increased by 70%. Empty drinks bottles and cans, packaging, paper handkerchiefs, chewing gum, cigarette butts, dog waste bags and household rubbish do not belong in nature, but in the bin. Both adults and children learnt this at Clean Rodgau. 106 adults and 227 children took part and learned how easy it is to do something for a clean environment. Environmental protection starts with each individual and concerns everyone. That is why the Hessian Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, Viticulture, Forestry, Hunting and Homeland, the Förderverein Sauberhaftes Hessen e. V. and the Rodgau public utility company are strengthening civic commitment and environmental awareness with the "Clean Rodgau" campaign. Anyone who would like to collect rubbish outside of the "Clean Rodgau" campaign period is welcome to do so.
