Football acrobatics at the JugendART 25

For the 12th time, JugendART is taking place at the youth centre in Dudenhofen as a joint event organised by the Youth and Culture, Sport and Volunteering departments. On 28 and 29 June, young people will be exhibiting paintings, manga drawings, sculptures, collages and many other creative objects. The Geschwister Scholl, Georg Büchner and Clauss von Stauffenberg schools will be presenting the results of their art lessons, which are rarely shown to the public. These include various styles of painting, sculptures and prints. On Saturday, two young bands from the Free Music School will perform on stage under the direction of Sebastian Schönhals. The Sunday programme also offers a wide variety of activities. A singing and dancing group will be performing and free, exciting workshops will take place in the outdoor area. Football acrobat Kjell Straus from Rollwald will demonstrate his skills in a short show and then pass on his knowledge in a workshop. Interested parties will have the opportunity to see Kjell Straus four times between 2.30 and 3.30 pm. A maximum of 20 participants aged 6 and over can take part in each workshop. Artist Leonie Droege offers a comic/manga workshop. On Saturday and Sunday, birdhouses can be built and painted at NABU, Birgit Mayer-Tauber will be designing many more pennants for the Rodgau pennant chain and the art blacksmith Achim Harbut will let anyone interested forge their own fortune. Great fun for the visitors and a visitor magnet for years. All workshops are free of charge, and food and drink are provided at moderate prices. The sale is organised by young people from the open meeting places and the proceeds go to creative projects in the youth centre. JugendART takes place on Saturday from 3 to 6 pm and on Sunday from 2 to 5 pm in the youth centre at Freiherr-vom-Stein-Straße 8. First City Councillor Janika Martin and Head of Cultural Affairs Winno Sahm will speak at the opening on Saturday at 3.00 pm. Info at kultur@rodgau.de.
