At the next After Work Music event on 16 July, PC Trumpet will be on stage with MC Smooth from 6 pm. Smooth jazz is a newer style of jazz and a predominantly instrumentally orientated music that combines elements of pop music, blues, soul and jazz. There is a strong tendency towards pop music and the jazz element plays a more reserved role. Catchy hooklines with alternating instrumental solo parts, supported by a relaxed groove, are generally characteristic. Uwe Michael, vocals, guitar and saxophone, and Peter Coy, trumpet and flugelhorn, are a well-rehearsed duo. Both have already worked together in countless formations with different styles. The project is a logical development towards jazz without losing the pop elements. All the songs by the two musicians are elaborately and individually arranged. The audience can look forward to a "groovy" and "chilled" after-work party. Admission to the "After Work Music" event is included in the regular lido entrance fee.
