Once again this year, the town of Rodgau is presenting an opera in "espresso format" at the bathing lake. On Saturday, 16 August at 8 pm, "Così fan tutte" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart will be performed in an adaptation by Grigoriy Losenkov. In this bittersweet, explosive romantic comedy, everything revolves around a bet about the fidelity of women. In keeping with tradition, the non-profit organisation "MUSIC TO GO e.V" is coming to Rodgau to offer the audience classical music in a relaxed atmosphere. People experience great works up close in places they know and where they feel comfortable, such as the lido in Rodgau. It doesn't matter whether you are experienced or inexperienced in opera, young or old - everyone is invited to enjoy the music, the artists and the extraordinary performance venue. To ensure that the piece appeals to opera novices and experienced spectators alike, initiator Désirée Brodka moderates and explains the events. Soprano Brodka naturally slips into the costume herself and sings along. The ensemble is completed by Zinzi Frohwein and Maija Tutova (soprano), Maria Shebzukhova (mezzo-soprano), George Gamal and Daegyun Jeong (baritone), Jihoon Do (tenor) and Dumitru Madarasan (bass-baritone). The string quartet consists of Gooil Kang and Anna Straub (1st violin), Laura Knapp and Svetlana Shtraub (2nd violin), Elizabeth Gärtner (viola) and Maksim Korobeijnikov (cello). The performance lasts around 90 minutes and is free of charge. However, donations for the organisation "MUSIC TO GO e.V." are very welcome. Désirée Brodka has already been a guest in Rodgau with "Der Freischütz", "Der Vogelhändler", "Die lustige Witwe", "La Traviata", "L'elisir d'amore", "Die Fledermaus" and "Die Csárdásfürstin".
